Born in the deep rain-forests of Central Africa, was a chimpanzee named Kevin, who was unlike any other ape in the jungle. While his peers swung from vines and played in the treetops, he was fascinated by a different kind of rhythm. He was entranced by the sound of the rain, the wind in the leaves, and the chirping of birds, but most of all, he loved the beat of the jungle itself. One day, as he sat by a gurgling stream, he found an old, discarded radio. He curiously examined it, pushing buttons and twisting knobs. Suddenly, music blared from the small device. The ape's eyes widened with wonder, and a rush of excitement coursed through him. The rhythmic beats and melodies filled his heart, and he began to dance, swaying to the music with pure joy. The ape's newfound passion for music soon turned into an obsession. He spent hours each day tinkering with the radio, discovering new tunes and rhythms. His fellow chimps watched him with amusement, wondering why he was so captivated by this strange human invention. As days turned into weeks, a fascination evolved into something more profound. He began to experiment with different sounds in the jungle, mimicking the melodies he had heard on the radio. He would beat rocks on tree trunks, clap his hands, and imitate the bird's songs, creating his own unique beats. His affinity for rhythm and melody quickly became evident to his ape companions. They gathered around him as he improvised, and soon they too began to dance to his rhythms. The jungle was alive with the sounds of makeshift music, bringing joy and unity to his fellow chimpanzees. Word of this ape's music soon reached a group of local scientists who were studying primates in the rain-forest. They were amazed by the ape's musical abilities and decided to observe him closely. They left a small record player with a collection of music, and Kevin immediately recognized the device, having heard a similar sound from the old radio he found. The ape's journey into the world of DJ'ing had officially begun. With the record player, he learned to switch records, create unique mixes, and even scratch the vinyl with a twig. The scientists were astonished by the musical prodigy they had discovered. Over time, the Ape's DJ trek took him beyond the rain-forest. In 1988, he began spinning records in Colorado, captivating audiences with fun hooks and beats. And, as years would pass, his DJ path would branch as it held course with his life; thus, taking him to California, Hawaii, Germany, Spain, and China, performing at clubs, raves, and mobile gigs. His unique jungle-inspired beats made the souls of many smile. With the inevitable passage of time, the Ape's life took new turns, but all the same, he never lost touch with his roots. These days, he continues to mix music simply for fun, and to furnish his wife with new stuff to listen to. He often imagines that his poor wife lives with a semi-domesticated ape that roams the house and makes uncouth gestures--the local house ape.

I started spinning back in the early eighties, purely 12". I have been all throughout the industry from Mobile, Club, After Hours and back to Mobile.....still missing Club Play. I still keep up with the tunes and still enjoy my own mixes in my ride..... A huge thanks for everyone who took the time to check out my mixes. I think that it is awesome that I am able to reach out to so many people from around the world!! Music is meant to be shared with friends, it takes you to places and times that sometimes you cannot explain. Thank you to everyone else out there who is sharing their skills! His Dj name comes from his profession; Neon crafter and tubular glassblower (one of the 14 in The Netherlands) & electric signmaker. He's a Dj of the 1st-generation. Dj Neonglass made his first steps in mixing on age 14 (1977),before that he was a "talking Dj" (compared with a "radio Dj'', as many Dj's where in that days) He was “working” with some friends every friday evening on a Drive-inn disco, called “Disco Skylab” in a youth centre called: “Openluchtschool” (O.L.S)”, in The Hague. They also had an illegal F.M Radio stations called “Skylab Radio, Skyline Radio,Tempo Radio”. Then he saw in a local disco called “De Marathon” the Dj mix two records together. Fortunately one of his friends knew more about mixing.He started mixing with 2 MARANTZ record players with pitch-control. Inspired by his discovery,he began to create customised pause button mixes on his big reeel taperecorder (later cassette) as he realised that certain records could be made more suitable for the dance floor, if they wen given a slight twist of extension. At the age of 16 he was asked to play at several Clubs as a guest Dj. Mixing was in that time very special and also all Clubs had "talking Dj's" in that time. One of his friends he “worked” in the Drive-inn Disco with is now known as Atlantic Ocean a.k.a Dj Lex van Coeverden (World Hit Single Waterfall & Waterfall 2009). In 1984 he stopped mixing, so he had time to found his own Neonsign- factory. After 24 years not being mixing and Dj-ing, he took some Mixing lessons in youthcentre “BAZART” also located on the grounds of the former O.L.S, the place where it in 1977 all began. When he’s started his Mixing lessons,he noticed that there was a lot of changed in the DJ equipment. He decided to quit mixing with vinyl and go for the new technological tools now like mixing with 2 CD players with pitchcontrol. Nowerday's he's a Resident Dj @ several radio stations. He has the unique ability to keep the energy high by blending tribal, circuit, and mainstream remixes all into one. After getting his DJ start in the UK, he's returned back to DC and is quickly making his waves. His infectious blend of House Beats and large vocals, mixed with a touch of mainstream will keep youmoving til it hurts. DJ TWiN had his first gig in February 2011 in the United Kingdom where he lived for a few years. After his first gig the club owner came up to him and told him that "he had a gift and something special that he'd never seen before in any DJ." These words fueled DJ TWiN's passion to want to tap into his musical abilities more and push to become better. He then quickly became a regular DJ at a nightclub called Thirst. His talent and love come two fold, as his real life twin is also musically talented and a producer. When DJ TWiN moved back to Washington DC in 2011 he was eager to play and was given the opportunity in February 2012 to play at Nellie's Sports bar. After the one gig, he was called upon to be the resident Saturday DJ. Saturdays at Nellies increased tremendously after his debut. DJ TWiN was also asked to play to Washington DC's Closing party for Pride 2012. It was this performance that really put him on the map as a talented house DJ. Future confirmed events for DJ TWiN include his own party "Temptation", Cherry, and DC Pride 2013.
